We wanted to say THANK YOU to the Gypsy Dolls and Mr. Vince Portillo for making our wedding so fun and unforgettable. Our guests continue to compliment our choice of the band. Anyone planning a wedding knows how challenging and detailed it can be. Vince was our Go-To Man for pretty much everything, minus the flowers … Rockin’ live music, spectacular up lighting, perfectly timed ceremony music, entertaining MC/DJ … and more! Tober Mei (lead vocalist) was amazing and has such a powerful voice!! They performed so many great hits throughout the night to get everyone on the dance floor. We can’t wait for you guys to perform at our 10 year anniversary. |

After doing a bit of discouraging research on wedding DJs in Orange County, we realized that most DJs in the area are overpriced and don't really fit with our musical style. We decided the only way to find a DJ would be by word-of-mouth and that's how Vince came to us: highly recommended by our friend Jessica DeWilde (see below!). After a few emails (with very speedy response times), we decided Vince was our man. He was so helpful with all of our questions about music, lighting, and microphones. His music questionnaire was laid out perfectly so we could clearly tell him exactly what we wanted our ceremony, dinner and reception to sound like. At the wedding, we couldn't have asked for a better, more fun or more helpful DJ! All the songs we wanted to hear were played, guests' requests were taken and everyone was dancing and having an awesome time. Vince also did a FANTASTIC job dealing with our crazy scheduling (or lack thereof?) with our ceremony and reception since we didn't have a coordinator. He also helped keep our catering in order and made sure all the guests were fed. He really went above and beyond to make sure our day was smooth and happy. Vince is the BEST!!! |

We are so happy we chose Vince and Portillo Productions as our DJ for our wedding. When it came to booking our DJ, we were both nervous about finding your typical loud-mouthed DJ that ran the show with raunchy jokes and bad music. After meeting with Vince, he put all of our fears at ease! Vince knew exactly what vibe we wanted for our big day. He listened to our wishes, coordinated a fantastic ceremony, kept the reception on schedule, was extremely professional and fun to work with, chose music according to our requests as well as the vibe of our guests, and provided us with a memorable day. Vince was an amazing part of our day. We heard about him via word of mouth from a work related contact. With raving reviews we just had to hire him and we were not disappointed. Not only does he have a great personality he is extremely professional. We had such a hard time figuring out what songs we wanted, but Vince worked with us down to the last minute and everyone in our diverse group was up on the dance floor dancing. He was organized where we were not and his experience and talent as an MC made things run smoothly. He knows what he is doing and he does it very well! He did an amazing job with everything and really took a lot of stress off of me the day of. Thank you Vince! I knew within five minutes that we were in excellent hands with Vince. He took the time to understand our musical taste and our overall sensibilities for the wedding, and he went through everything with the wedding planner in advance. On the day of the wedding, we were able to relax and trust that he would manage everything, which he did, beautifully. He went from mellow jazz and classical during the meal to dance tunes that got everyone on the dance floor. My wife had never seen her parents dance like they did that night. Everyone had a blast. My previously scheduled DJ cancelled on me 3 months before my wedding and I was in a panic......until I found DJ Vince! He promptly responded to my inquiry and we spent a good amount of time on the phone figuring out what I wanted out of a DJ and what I wanted the overall feel of the night to be like. Vince was always interested in what we wanted for our wedding, and never tried to push any ideas on us. He sent me a very detail oriented client information sheet to fill out prior to the wedding which really helped me think about and plan the music in every aspect of the reception, so it was very personal to us. On the day of our wedding, Vince was very professionally dressed and very accommodating. I had a special request for Vince to "trick" my groom with a song at the beginning of the dancing and it went off without a hitch! We definitely have a wide variety of music taste, and every song that we requested was played. Actually, my Mother and I both had requested our favorite songs and both happened to be in the bathroom when they were played and Vince had no problem playing them again for us. The dance floor was packed the whole night, there was never a dull moment! Everyone has told me repeatedly what a fun night they had, and that the DJ was amazing.....and trust me we are a big dancing group so we know a good DJ when we see one! Dear Scott Goers & Portillo Productions, my husband’s birthday party was a major hit! Thanks to you guys. I have to tell you that we've done casino night parties in the past using another entertainment company and we were less than impressed, no comparison. Scott was a great mc and played everything we request. Cory was very helpful, friendly and professional too. The other dealers were not only beautiful but friendly, gave great tips and are great at what they do. Scott and his team were professional from set up to the time they wrapped up. From the beginning planning stage Scott’s professionalism, availability, and guidance helped give us the confidence we needed to plan our event. My husband and I had the pleasure to use "Portillo Productions" for our neighborhood "Fourth of July" party and it was a great success!! The equipment was all state-of-the art, the music playlists had songs that everyone could enjoy and DJ Scott was most professional and courteous to all my guests. He took song requests/suggestions all night and played his own music which made the party that more fun. My neighbors, who are in their 40s and 50s, even got up to dance in my backyard which is an accolade to the great music that was played for us all night. I highly recommend using "Portillo Productions'" for any party that you have as it will surely make it extra-special and more fun. My husband and I plan on using them again next year!!! |

On April 24Th 2010 was our wedding day and it was the best day of our lives. Our wedding was a small but elegant backyard wedding, hosting about 80 guests and the DJ had to orchestrate everything from the ceremony to the reception and it couldn't have gone smoother without our DJ Tim and the services provided by Portillo Productions. Vince, who handled all the details was the least of our worries when planning for the big day. We were very particular about the details and Vince made everything go so effortlessly. Tim our DJ was simply awesome. Not only was he professional but very easy going and a pleasure to work with. He is a people pleaser- has every song known to mankind and mixes well with all age groups. He accepts requests, can play just about any type of music and is very affordable.. Scott DJ'd my daughter’s high school graduation party last year and we already have him lined up to perform again at our younger daughter’s party in 2012. Vince was the DJ for our wedding. We had been very concerned over the DJ but the second we met Vince, we knew we were in good hands. He played such an amazing variety of the music we told him we liked. He was able to keep the party going, and keep everyone on the dance floor. All our guests told us after the wedding how amazing the DJ was, and how much fun they had at the reception. "My husband and I have known Vince Portillo for 7 years through their work together in music projects. When we married, Vince was the only person we wanted to play piano at our ceremony and DJ our reception. As most brides-to-be know, wedding planning is time consuming; however I knew there was one thing I didn’t have to worry about – the music at the ceremony. With our blessing, Vince chose the songs he played on piano as the guests arrived and throughout the ceremony. He was accompanied by a fiddle player, Matt Brislawn, and they played music with a Celtic sound which I loved. While the guests made their way to the reception site, so did Vince. He had set up his DJ equipment before the ceremony so he was ready to start the music as the guests arrived. Vince has an immense collection of music from all genres. We wanted modern loves songs that meant something to us and he played our suggestions along with playing what he sensed the crowd wanted. When it was time to get the party started he played dance tunes and took requests. Vince helped keep the flow going with introductions and alerting everyone when we were transitioning to the bouquet/garter toss and cake cutting, etc. Two years later and we still get complements on the music that was played at our wedding.
